Same-day dentures, also called immediate dentures, are complete or partial dentures that are placed on the same day as the extraction procedure. This procedure is typically for patients who have already lost their teeth and have healed gums. They are made on-site with the look and function of natural teeth.
Same-day dentures are often more natural-looking immediately after the procedure as they do not affect the gums as traditional dentures do. They are also extremely durable and effective, made to withstand extreme wear and tear until the application of permanent dentures if need be. Immediate dentures are also intended to protect gum tissue, help with natural tooth bonding, and serve to control or limit bleeding that often occurs with traditional denture application.

Getting Used to Dentures
It is critical that patients try not to rush back into their normal diet. Fitting Appointments for Dentures
Having well-fitting dentures is vital. Dentures that do not fit well may rub a person's gums and cause soreness and irritate the tissue. Aside from being uncomfortable for the patient, ill-fitting dentures also pose a health risk.
